HealthierSG Care Protocols: Major Depressive Disorder and Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Over two evenings, more than 300 members of our primary care community came together for an inspiring discussion on the first two mental health HealthierSG Care Protocols: Major Depressive Disorder and Generalised Anxiety Disorder.
The timing was especially meaningful as we marked World Mental Health Day, affirming once again the vital role of Primary Care in promoting the mental well-being of our community.
The sessions were moderated by Dr S Suraj Kumar, Vice President of CFPS, and enriched by a distinguished panel of leaders from the Agency for Integrated Care, Ministry of Health, MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation, members of the HealthierSG Care Protocols subgroup, and CFPS.
Dr Eugene Chua and Dr James Cheong led the GAD and MDD sessions respectively, guiding participants through the protocols, from assessment to management recommendations. Many thoughtful questions were asked, sparking lively exchange. The energy was truly uplifting—reflecting the passion and shared commitment of our fraternity in advancing mental health care.
With deep appreciation, CFPS thanks all family doctors who continue to play such an integral role in strengthening the mental health of our patients and communities.
