The Constitution of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (CFPS) is the College’s foundational governing document, setting out CFPS’s identity and purpose, including its title, motto (“Cum Scientia Caritas”), and emblem.

Amended on 27 February 2017, the Constitution defines the objectives of the College—including advancing the art and science of medicine, supporting education and training for family physicians, and promoting high standards of family practice. It also defines Family Medicine in terms of its core elements of care and the settings in which family medicine is practised.

In addition, the Constitution outlines CFPS’s membership categories and pathways, and establishes the key structures and processes for governance and accountability, including arrangements for meetings, finance, Council, and College Censors, as well as provisions on termination of membership, amendments, and dissolution.
