The College of Family Physicians Singapore is honoured to participate in the 2025 Tsinghua Medical Humanities Education Forum, sharing our perspectives on medical humanities and primary care transformation. Such exchanges deepen regional ties and reinforce our shared commitment to strengthening primary care across Asia.

Just returned from two intensive days of talks and discussions at Tsinghua Medicine, Beijing, as part of their ongoing efforts to promote medical humanities, primary care, and examining the use of AI in clinical practice

Day 1 ( 14 Nov 2025) – Medical Humanities Education ForumSpoke on medical ethics and the role of information asymmetry in shaping the doctor–patient relationship. It was also a personal milestone — my first time delivering a full lecture in Chinese. A challenging but meaningful experience!

Day 2 ( 15 Nov 2025) – Primary Care Forum – I presented Singapore’s Healthier SG strategy to an audience of teachers and academics, with 4000 joining online and 50,000 views by day end. I spoke about our approach to population health, the central role of family physicians, and how structured 诊疗规范 (care protocols) and online training support our GP community.

It was also wonderful to meet fellow primary care and family physicians from Hong Kong and Singapore, strengthening regional friendships and professional ties. I am grateful to Tsinghua Medicine for their warm hospitality and and for arranging such a fruitful schedule.
